Incorporation Information

Our By-Laws were officially filed in April of 2019. These provide the process, policy and legal information we will follow as a non-profit corporation.

Our Articles of Incorporation were filed in July of 2019. The AOI provides the standard information for the organization. And now it is time to form the Board of Directors, whose task is to ensure that the nonprofit is fulfilling its mission.

Community Life Support, Inc, Board Particulars ·Board Meeting: Initially monthly x 6 months then bimonthly thereafter. ·Board Term of Service is listed as 3 years in the By-Laws, but the board is empowered to amend as needed. ·The By- Laws  require a Conflict Disclosure Statement be completed yearly by all active board members. ·Memorandum of Understanding:  I will statement’s for board members: ·I will attend 80% of  all Board Meetings. ·I will serve on at least one committee during my tenure. ·I will attend committee meetings at least 80 % of the time. ·I will participate in at least two community events per year programmed by Community Life Support as a volunteer assisting where needed. ·I will speak of and share positive information about Community Life Support in the community.

The Corporation is formed exclusively for charitable purposes, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 2017, as amended, to assist low-income individuals and families in the Counties of Rensselaer, Saratoga and Washington, and their environs, in the State of New York; by:

•Acquiring, managing and maintaining facilities to assist local food pantries, and other similarly situated health and human service providers, in offering free-of-charge, or below-market value, food, toiletries and other essential goods; •Initiating, operating and coordinating responsive programs and services relative to their informal education, wellness, support and overall empowerment, and; •Creating, coordinating and promoting networks, coalitions, collaborations and ventures of, and between, government, businesses, nonprofits, faith-based institutions and community associations to advance the foregoing purposes.
